what I remember him from is he took over the editorship of The Whole
Earth Catalog from Stewart Brand.  The Whole Earth Review went on for
a few years and had some good articles.

 I still kind of like Paracelsus' notion of elementals cooking up gold
and other minerals beneath the surface of the earth.


>  Kevin Kelly has written a series of interesting and well-received books, plus his work with Wired magazine back in that fertile early '90's time and place - Multimedia Gulch in San Francsico, where we were turning the Web into a viable communications medium (among other efforts back in that day:  http://MorphsOutpostOnTheDigitalFrontier.com, for example), and he continues to hold a respected place in cyberspace.  He's pointing to a paper written by somebody else.
