I have kind of 'own'ed those pages, but they sit here
like the big black moon monolith in 2001. I can write
more about the terrors of hosting than about ATD, but
let this one item suffice: I sound like Lurch of the
Adam's Family each morning, driving to work, thinking
about this task of exposition, or even, pointing out.

The magic, if there is some, is not in the words.
Nope. I've typed them all in, and sent enough to
Google-define that it refused me, saying I might
have a virus. After looking up the many unknown
words, fontina, risotto, it didn't change what
I got from when I just glossed over those words.

Most of the words are ordinary: Girls in striped
headscarves and flowing skirts. Nothing I couldn't
have imagined--but I probably wouldn't have. No,
these girls remind me of the waitresses I'd seen
in the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen some 30 years ago.

It's just ordinary after ordinary, but with a
whole lot of love and care, as of an artist.

I think I have rooted out a couple'o trifles,
I mean truffles, to share with you while I am
pointing out, if this is Monday, we must be
on pages 724-726.

Yours truly,
Glenn Scheper
