Did Tancredi have a GUN, a BOMB, or something intangible?

Did Tancredi intend to kill, or to illuminate/transform Vibe?

Hatefully seems to apply to "bringing down",
and is congruent with the Buddhist parable.

Who died? Tancredi died.

Christ died, as a sacrifice, hating sin, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of God.

He "tasted death" for all. Compare my statement of a psychosis,
metanoia, metamorphosis, in which the heart ticks like a bomb
that would destroy the world--that is, when the body is dead,
there is no more interface to the noumena of the absent world.

quote:
I just recently realized the extreme coherence of that symbology of the entire
universe exploding (not like expanding, but like ceasing to exist), and of my
heart being the ticking timer of the final bomb that would end the world. If
you're up on philosophy, on the unusual notion that what appears in the mind,
phenomena, cannot be rigorously, by some logic, related to their equivalent
noumena out in the world; And despite Descartes' 'Cogito', a mind must be
embodied to receive sensations from the world; So then, the existential dread
that I felt was in fact the awareness of the 'possibility of the impossibility
of being' as Heidegger calls death, of a mind that would be cut off from the
body by its mortal passing, hence of a mind that could be cut off from the
entire world, a fore-knowledge or fore-taste of death itself, like Paul says
Jesus tasted.

In Lacan's master-slave discourse, the master cannot receive any
new ideas, but defends himself from hearing what the slave knows.

Anecdote: One day, I heard "I am God. I have chosen your brother."
That same day, my wife's son was shot. I have speculated on that
hearing and event, that the act of killing is to assume the role
of (a false) God.

Now, Revelation discloses that murderers shall not enter into the
inheritance (21:8), and into the city of God (22:15)...

21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part
in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

So, did not Tancredi condemn Vibe precisely by being killed by him?

"There was the unmistakable snap of a gunshot."

black funeral train...of his terrible intention.

"His hands were empty," .. "nobody found a weapon."

"He said he had an infernal machine,
which would bring down Vibe,
and the order Vibe expresses
most completely and hatefully."

glowing coal...Buddhist parable

"the masterwork he thought would change any who beheld it"

blind him...bring him...

a volume of God's absence...know Hell

limbs open...embrace...a remnant, bowing down

perverse nobility

a void in the day...the city...taken away
