It seems by this second week of ATDTDA 27,
we should be discussing the Prophet's Gate
found on page 771.
I submit, my usual thesis, that the ARCH
is in fact that of Autofellatio, the arch
lending its etymology to the word arcane,
of which Jesus is the Keystone (capstone,
a truer meaning of cornerstone), the same
as it is in Divine Comedy. This Gate/arch
in ATD has many similar aspects as in DC.
769
"Hassan was of course no longer there."
Like Virgil in DC, ca. end of purgatory.
770
"At any moment a loose rock fragment might
fall too fast for Kit to hear before it
slashed into him." - Shades of V2s in GR!
- And of the unknowing of the import of the
word of autofellatio until after it is said.
770
deafened, blinded - like Alpha and Omega
personified in introduction to Revelation.
And again, some tropes of explosion.
771
"Somehow in this dream the Arch has been
replaced by Kit himslef, a struggle he feels
on waking in muscles and joints to become
the bridge, the arch, the crossing over."
"Kit had begun to understand that this space
the Gate had opened to them was less geographic
than to be measured along the axes of sorrow
and loss." - this is the loss-of-self in the
self-sacrifice, the "death" of autofellatio
(autocunnilingus for far fewer limber gals).
772
"This is terrible...These people have nothing."
-We now return to the non-gnostic preterite,
those great masses entrained by the promises
of Christianity, without its tantric power.
To this end, I have fetched the vast site of
Anthropoetics for reading, triggered by reading
this one good page of merely secular reasoning...
