Back in the Rockies, Reef might have tossed a stick of dynamite.  A firecracker's kind of the Italian version of dynamite (well, maybe not.  I'm thinking of the famed Grucci fireworks).  The two are pretty interchangeable in Looney Tunes, anyway.
