And, to me, it's almost Pynchonian in its attempt to take something 
that's crass and disposable (the original Fergie song) and 
simultaneously make fun of it and endlessly deepen it. Fergie's 
version had the same lyrics as Morissette's, but Fergie's is about 
how awesome she is, whereas in Alanis's version the point is that _
all_ she has is her humps, and isn't that pathetic.
