In point of fact, try out GR Viking edition page 588, line # 5: "Check out 
Ishmael Reed" in the context of religion&racism, so he does too 
know his mumbo from his jumbo, thank you very much and if you 
won't take my word for it, check out page 308 of the second edition 
of "A Gravity's Rainbow Companion", Steven C. Weisenburger, 
University of Georgia Press 2006. I'm sure this book's settled more than
one rancorous wager offered up in an atmosphere of drunken,
licentious & shambolic depravity.

    He's a Henry Adams down the rail and off the bridge 
    after the big trainwreck and the bottem fell out and 
    Gatsby Crashed!
