I saw the Kerouac exhibit at the NYPublic Libary this afternoon.
Read this framed source remark from Gary Snyder that went into Dharma Bums,
it seems. Relevant to a recent discussion we have had about Pynchon, stones, and spirituality.
Gary S. says: Something close to, "the more one gets into the physical, stones, fire, air and wood,
the more spiritual eveything becomes"....................."Look at that quail rising."
We know TRP really liked On the Road from his intro to Slow Learner........knowing TRP,
he must have read much more Kerouac..............section of the exhibit is about K's "Christian Buddhism"......
