I don't disagree with this for the most part ( King Leopold's Ghost is
even more effective than HoD). comparing essays and artistic creations
is useless.
however, one cannot deny the cold eye of analysis and how it observes
pain/trauma from a distance and rates things as major/minor--I do find
that insufferable and/or inhuman.
