          Carlos Fuentes, or Jose Donoso. Or The Magus. I am 
          sure Robin has much better books about magic, rather 
          than books that use magic as an integral part of the 
          narrative.

A few, though Crowley is a region of bad literature all to himself.
But more to the point: What about Borges? What about Joyce?
There's some great magic in some great literature. As far as
I can tell, Pynchon knows way more about the occult than I, has
deeper reading of the classic works then I ever will. I posted this:

earlier today. Don Frew probably knows more about these 
subjects than Pynchon does. And the subjects he's talking
about in the linked interview have strong ties to Against
the Day.
