Subject: ATDTDA p675 ff / humble disclaimer

Humble disclaimer:
Sometimes my focus changes and I become aware of the imperfections
of my comments; but my resolution holds (I'll think of the
leech-gatherer on the lonely moor) when I consider what
a fine text I'm making comments on, and what fine sparks
they sometimes strike from other commenters.

(Even when wrong: was hoping my confutation of 5-dimensions
with a 5x5 matrix would inspire refutation, since
a 5x5 matrix is only 2-dimensional.
I reach for the eigenvalue concept
to paper over this discrepancy - say if you warp the
5-dimensional layout of Kit's 2nd dream by means of a transversing-
doubling scheme, the eigenvalue ends up squaring the 5
as in Kit's 1st dream - leading to ruminations on how that
relates to Webb's parental role and his likening of his
family earlier in the book to "the whole damn poker hand"
- the 5 dimensions then could be along one axis, and the 5 surviving
Traverses demarcated along the other...
but am quickly lost...maybe it would yield a funky-looking
catastrophe theory graph...)

Rather than lapidary, I'm happy to consider my
commentary working like one of those rock-tumbling machines,
cycling noisily away.

anyway...p 675: zigzagging around...readers of a certain age
might be imaging this: http://www.zigzag.com/

break over, duty calls - more later...
