Where are the hard-flaming e-gladiators of yore?

Not too many year ago I seem to recall someone from
WASTE stepping in to squelch a particuarly vicious
flame war - the list seems to have been much more
civilized of late (not complaining, just noting). 
Whatever became of Doug, Malignd, and Terence anyway?
