Where are the hard-flaming e-gladiators of yore?

And it's important to remember that such statements are pretty biased,
anyways.

While many of the so-called "flame wars" were amusing, they did little to
foster intelligent literary discussion and did nothing more than clutter
bandwidth and stroke egos. Doug remains subscribed (I happen to know), but
chooses to lurk. Many of Morris's claims against Doug are obviously biased
and stem from their particularly vicious history.

I have no clue what happened to MalignD or Terrence ... personally, I miss
the latter's entertaining contributions and free-form zaniness. The former
contributed nothing worthwhile to intelligent discussion and merely
belittled listers (but I'll admit, that's my bias).

Jbor was outed as an intellectual fraud a coupla years ago and, being a
cheap-o to boot, is probably hoarding his millions in Australia. Some here
found his contributions significant. Me, I thought him a pompous fool who
liked to call Doug a pompous fool. Pots and kettles, really.

Me, I'm an unintelligent jag-off who hostlurks between boozing it up with
coprophiliacs and going to peep shows with a bottle of Ivory liquid. So who
am I to talk ...

Umm ... are we still talkin' about ATDTDA here? How did this topic arise?
We usually get on these tangents when a host drops the ball ... LOL
