TRP unfilmable?

I'm re-reading Vineland at the moment and I'd love to see someone
attempt a film version of it. I think it's not only the most filmable of
all his books (though I haven't read AtD yet) but also actively lends
itself to such a project. Almost a-as if Pynchon intended it to be a
primer for the screen...?

 

So long as they didn't resort water-y dissolving flashback techniques
every time Prairie gets told more about her mother, it could really
work.

 

I don't know how the Thanatoids'd be portrayed but it'd be brilliant to
see Frenesi's 24fps footage of PR3 in action :-)
