What is Thomas Pynchon telling us?

I think pynchon would tell us:
history proceeds not causally with certain predictabilities, but all
moments' relationship to any other moment is meant. things are analogous..
or.. syncretic and in that way form a poetic structure. there is a
wistfulness to look at a billboard/stamp/stock certificate of the past, how
will 'they' look at these things now--tomorrow?

My memory gets dimmer day by day, but doesn't
Hendin regard OBA as a gloomy determinist?
