Reading ATD, I cannot see the forests for the trees.
But reading your glosses, the AF isomorphism shines.

> . . . ..Soon you will enter a country none of you have known
> and few can imagine---the realm of silence. Before crossing
> that fateful frontier, each of you is to be allowed one question,
> one only. Think closely, my children, and do not waste this
> opportunity,"

> When it was Cyprian's turn, he knelt and whispered,

> "What is it that is born of light?"
> 958

> Enlightenment = Gnosis = Terror.

> Zalmoxis then had a subterranean chamber constructed (other
> accounts say that it was a natural cave) on the holy mountain of
> Kogaion, to which he withdrew for three years (some other
> accounts considered he actually lived in Hades for these three years).

Something performed in an exoteric religion is but a pale
reflection of its spiritual antitype in the tantric world.

Here, we have the original discovery of autofellatio (AF),
or AC for women, such as Emily Dickinson, or the Beguines,
which is the "Word of God", to initiate the metamorphosis.

It is a speech act, and has the quality of a question: The
word of god is a "What" to someone of the opposite gender,
and their appropriate reply is their gender's word of God.

It is a re-birth and initiates the parousia, or immanant
presence of god, and is also His advent, or Second Coming.

The web reveals about the Yeats poem, _The Second Coming_,
Yeats had initially considered titling it The Second Birth.

This poem is another exemplar of my AF fellows honing the
expression of AF, without actually saying what they mean.
It hits me because mother ever enjoined "stop slouching".

Thanks to Otto for bringing Yeats up. I used --Yeats Second
Coming-- as a search phrase to test Words,Extended using my
larger optional list of 61 search engines, and got this
result log, which I saved on my web site: ~ 900 web pages!

I will be reading them to post more later, but here's one:

William Butler Yeats' "The Second Coming" + 7

  Following Lee Ann Brown's suggestion for a writing experiment -- "N + 7: Look
up every noun in the piece and replace it with the 7th Noun down in the
dictionary" -- Lauryl Hicks created this poem from Yeats' "The Second Coming":

    "The Second Comma Bacillus"

Turning and turning in the widening gyropilot,
The faldstool cannot hear the Falkirk.
    The think pieces fall apart; the centerpiece cannot hold;
Mere anastomosis is loosed upon the World Series,
The blood-dimmed tiding is loosed, and everywhere
    The cerite of innovation is drowned;
The bestiaries lack all convolution, while the worthless
    Are full of passionate interactants.

    Surely some revenue stamp is at hand;
    Surely the Second Guess is at hand;
The Second Guess! Hardly are those wordings out
When a vast imaginariness out of *Spirit of Ammonia*
Troubles my sight-reading: somewhere in sandbars of the desexualization
A shard with lion bodyguard and the head doctor of a managed currency
A gazpacho blank and pitiless as the sun bonnet,
Is moving its slow thimblerig, while all about it
Reel Shadrachs of the indignant desert birdhouses.
The dark horse drops again, but now I know
That twenty cephalic indeces of stony sleeping sickness
Were vexed to nightshirt by a rocking crag,
And what rough beater, its house come round at last,
Slouches toward Betjeman to be born?

As to zalmoxis, it is again AF, the phallus as a rock/mountain
("look to the pit from which you were dug, and the stone from
which you were hewn"-bible, roughly) and the mythological type
of the boy/man/troop that enters "into/inside" a mountain.

PS:

Here is an interesting web page by Ken Wilber, in that:
1) He assigns color to difficult concepts, a great ease-of-reading aid.
2) He asserts that the commonly lauded egalitarian plurality (which in
my mind has something in common with anarchy), by denying all hierarchy,
is like an auto-immune disease, a stumbling block hard to pass beyond.

nonetheless every infant born in that society still has to start at level 1, at
beige, at sensorimotor instincts and perceptions, and then must grow and evolve
through purple magic, red and blue myth, orange rationalism, green sensitivity,
and into yellow and turquoise vision-logic (on the way to the transpersonal).

PPS:

President George W. Bush is honored with last year's best statement with:

"I will not withdraw even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting
me." Barney is the President's dog. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, in
response to George W. Bush's comment that Russia should emulate democracy in
Iraq, ranked second with "We certainly would not want to have the same kind of
democracy as they have in Iraq."
