Yes, Malignant, dats whad I wrote! (trying to keep it simple, here). Please note that nowhere did my message in any suggest that it was a summary of the Roth's literature, any more than the opposite qualities would be a summary of OBA. The particulars cited were just CONTRASTS (that sorta means "opposites," Malloy), and would not have been regarded as a dissertation on the authors in question by my Freshman (high school) English class.  Won't it be great when you read "Catcher in the Rye" next year?

Jeez, MGnat, maybe you're spoofing some story or writing in the style of some author of whom I am unaware?  I'd love to know!  Otherwise...
