The waiter didn't offer them the info on the room and the show, the clerk
did. This is a reminder to keep your reading glasses with you at all
times... but instead the prescient waiter says:

"I know everything," he laughed, "or maybe it is nothing, my English gets
strange sometimes. But your friends Imi and Erno have gone back to Buda
Pesth, so you don't have to worry about them at least...[and to Dally] "My
mother, who still lives in Temesvar, would say your destiny is much more
demanding than that."
