Anarchist golf? Look no further than the Peoples' Golfing Association.

As described in ATD, anarchist golf sounds like a thought experiment Einstein might have cooked up to describe the relativity of space and time, with no fixed sequence or number of holes, and distances flexible. Balls being whacked at any time in any direction sounds a little like early quantum theory. [my memory is that the atomic shells of quantum theory are zones of probability depicting where the electron is most likely to be found].
In a sense, the anarchist golf sequence has set up the rules for reading the map that Ratty's gotten hold of. To make sense of the map, one has to be very flexible in regards to time and space.
To use it, "one references this dossier of two-dimensional map shapes, which are invariant, and wordlessly familiar as a human face. They are also common in dreams, as you may have noticed." TRP ties together the exploitative histories of the Congo, Bosnia and Texas. Again, the railways are cited as the instrument of this exploitation. The topographers (like Mason and Dixon) who surveyed the land to draw the map were parties to this exploitation too, but the map itself provides insight into the greed of (usually whiter)men.
