I am glad you said that. It's nowhere, but I think it might be the answer.
Unless someone has a directory of tradenames common in Europe in the
1800's, What could it be, the Lampo? I know it's a self defense weapon.
Right? The other aspect was that it could be a flashing thing, something
that makes a bright light, from her days with her pop, in photographic
terms. And the emitting of light would fit, as her character develops in
this chapter...
And it's really really small, fits in what's probably a beaded drawstring
purse where probably some money and a comb go, but not much else.
