IMO Mr. Arkadin is not a great movie.  Interesting and worthwhile, but not

A-and the movie that I was thinking of (re: scorpion to frog: it's my
nature) was more recent; maybe Coen bro's, Tarantino, i.e. marginialized but
not really even as indie as Jim (ya gotta see "Dead Man") Jarmusch.
