TRP unfilmable?

Aki Kaurismaeki went Bresson (minimalizing where FD maximalizes) in
his first direction, Crime and Punishment. One of his better flicks.
Bresson's Pickpocket is, of course, an even looser adaptation of the
novel (pickpocketing in place of murder), and one of the best films.

Pynchon's novels may not be filmable. For the cinema, at least.
I can imagine AtD, and probably AtD only, as a long serial.
