is the germ of D.'s (as the real Dostoevsky)creation of the violated young girl who commits suicide chapter in "The Demons"---too offensive for the printer to include in the first printing....

Part of Dostoevsky's belief that what happened to innocents, such as young children said something about one's God---and/or one's faith or lack of.
