finished vineland. entertained but slightly disappointed at the ease of reading. felt it shoud have been more of a challenge also slightly annoyed at the characters for being so crass and ignorant of the potential for evil of anyone in power. a back cover review reads "(...) a finger pointing the way out of the 1980s" (usa today) and straight into the 90's, serbia the rise of the oligarchs irak new labour le pen at the second round loft story and more, much more.
looking forward to against the day. also looking forward to atlas shrugged (suspect i might be a closet objectivist) and waiting for the barbarians (as if anyone needs to be reminded south africa is just silent hill with more sun - remember you me and little SJAMBOK)
