Inherent Vice Cover

Looks like the cover is very "Vineland," the "Inherent Vice" of the
car-as-rocket fantasy, of the illusion of flight and freedom given
by the car and L.A.'s car culture of the '60's. Remembering Zoyd 
talking about surfer's car culture ties the cover to Zoyd, at least in 
my mind. And the excerpt sounds like slightly overheated Lew Archer
excepting during the overheating which is ultra-Firesign Theater.
