family reunion end of Vineland

a) it's my favorite book (this may change, I have to a) find and b)
reread my copy of AtD before I can be sure, and then there's the new
one coming out, and I'm not through savoring M&D yet either)

b) "involves some tickling" - just such a concise initiation of
kid-friend relations

c) Prairie inviting/inciting/taunting Brock Vond

d) the fascism paragraph, the implication of the last leaf on the
forest floor and the mold and rot revealed underneath when it is
finally turned over and we ourselves, we movement people, we righteous
ones are ourselves not immune to the attractions of force and fraud...

e) the Russian rock band

and much other stuff...which unfortunately my attention span is too
short to attend to right now but see my forthcoming monograph, "The
Excellence of Vineland" - 4700 pgs.
