Most criticism post-Hemingway

Pynchon certainly used to be the most written about post-WWII
U.S. writer. I recall Berube confirming it too.
But arguably Toni Morrison has taken the lead. I just checked
a quite reliable indicator, the MLA database: the subject
"Morrison, Toni" gives 1748 hits, "Pynchon, Thomas" 1323.
Pynchon was "ahead" when I last made the comparison. Must've
been around 1998.
The Ohiolink Library Catalog - that contains the books of
all Ohioan universities, incl. the Miami U of great John
Krafft - tells as much: many more Morrison subject entries.
