Vollmann's Daunting Doorstoppers - anyone read all those?

I've read and greatly enjoyed pretty much everything of his with the
exceptions of

Europe Central - which is sitting across the room waiting for me; and
Argall - which for some reason I found deeply irritating and put aside
for another time.

Fathers and Crows has particular resonance with Mason & Dixon, even to
some of the same source materials being used I believe.
