Speaking of pop-addled, fascist-survivalist, sci-fi pseudo-gurus: what about Robert Heinlein and his own certified doorstopper, Time Enough for Love (ok, it's ONLY 608 pp) - which I happily breezed through at the tender age of 15 mostly thanks to all the kinky sex?
