Confederacy of Dunces

I remember being obsessed by Tim Etchell's Endland Stories Or Sad Lives in
my younger days, but found the re-read kind of dull and outdated. I didn't
even make it to the end. The bleakness overcame my desire to get through it.
I still loved certain sections but that quickfire prose style made for a
disorganised and restless read.
Anyone ever check that book out?
