Thanks guys, those are all pretty interesting! My girlfriend just
introduced me to the Web site Bloglines which is a manager for blogs you
read, picking up the RSS feeds and alerting you when there's new content. I
figured that since I found a quicker way to browse 'em I'm give 'em a shot,
I'm pretty clueless as to most new writing (from new authors) because any
time I go into the bookstore intent on convincing myself not to be
disheartened I end up storming around and shouting about damn kids on my
lawn (and fwiw I'm not even 30). I figure this may help me cut through some
of the crap out there and help me become a bit more well-rounded. The
Dalkey Archive and the NYRB are great but there's gotta be more out there!
