I seem to recall Crosby saying once that his relationship with McGuinn was the model for the relationship between Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider although, as the screenplay was written by (wasn't it?) Terry Southern, more likely the models were Henry Green and Slim Pickens.
