The Big Lebowski qualifies as  Pynchonian  and is my favorite Coen  
Brothers movie.    Oh Brother and Barton Fink  are favorites too.
Hard to condense  most Pynchon into a movie and he probably would be  
reluctant to give up artistic control .  VL or CoL49 seem like the  
best possibilities  though a sprawling movie of M&D could be great  
and truly odd territory for film. With Pynchon digression is  
constant, not so easy to pull off in a movie.
