Geographical Determinism

I disagreed with a lot of this article on geographic determinism, and I thought that the author came across as a bit of a blowhard, but I found the ideas interesting, and Pynchon certainly incorporates geographical determinism into his works. If nothing else, this article provides some source material that I'll bet is pretty important to M&D.
