According to chapters.ca, the Canadian Barnes and Noble, Northland was 
written by John Author Barth (not Arthur). The John Barth we know is John 
Simmons Barth (wikipedia). Chapters also notes that "this book is printed on 
demand. [allow 1-2 weeks for printing.]"

Certainly not the was a new John S. Barth book would be published.
