Steampunk

Speaking of Steampunk and Neal Stephenson has anyone  here read  
Anathem?   I'm in the middle of it now - hard to put down.   I've  
read some priors and I wouldn't say this is better than Snow Crash  
but it beats The Diamond Age (I luuurved Snow Crash.)    It's  
different, though - more like straight sci-fi with a lot of  
contemporary (with a wide span) issues.   Stephenson's books are  
always different.
