just finished Richard Evan's The Third Reich at War

highly recommend for a macro view of the war years in Germany-much
more on the home front than expected which was a plus.

hadn't known or forgot (or might have been mentioned here) that Sarin
gas was created by a number of IG Farben scientists--the name came
from the combination of letters in each of their names.

Many corporate entities bought up major parcels of land towards the
end of the war (including IG Farben) in preparation for its post-war
operations (is it Enzian who has the dream/hallucination about the war
being staged for some cryptic corporate interests? or is the guy on
the motorcycle high on petrol fumes?)

can't turn yr head without bumping into those fuckers
