Oh, I love VU, and also every band and artist you mention, Dave.

'Cause I'm an infuriating eclectic when it comes to music (much less when
it comes to literature). Once at the choir rehearsal, a brother commented
publicly: "The real question is not "Beatles or Stones?" - it's "the Who
or Kinks?" Which prompted me to publicly confess that I intensely love all
of those bands.

And Beethoven AND Rossini. Chess and Motown. Another public confession:
while my daughter enjoyed it quite a bit more than I did, "The Phantom of
the Opera" at Her Majesty's Theatre wasn't that bad after all. Not nearly
as good as Mr. Kyllo's mushroom risotto (thanks again, James, for the great
evening), but still - it isn't easy to admit it - OK.
