Ms. Kakutani has only liked M & D of later Pynchon

Ye olde character question. I'd like to know what she thinks of GR.

I'll repeat myself but that M & D are "round characters" in her reading and others' [Wood] is purposeful from TRP, imho. 

Since their time in history, we
are no longer full characters, I think TRP might argue with his work.
