Is it the blinders of political readings? Is it that young or maybe
right of centre readers simply can not be in the know and fail to see
the obvious cartoon satire or caricature of George W. Bush AtD.210-215
etc.?
Or is it the case that a huge allusive text like AtD, grist for the
mill, water made wine by exegesis?
Both & and the kit and kaboodle and everyhting but/and the kitchen
sink noodled to bootle.
Heller at the end of GR with Nixon. Do you remember, Young American,
President Nixon? If not Bowie will sing Governer or President Reagan?
But Bush doesn't rhyme with American. Not even
slant/half/femenine/cowboy poet enjambment rhyme.
Is it Bush and Hatch?
It's neither.
DIve deeper.
