Relevant, Cryptic, Perfect, Divine

I was just listening to a podcast that provided four philosophical assumptions that readers often take to the Bible -- which seemed relevant to current discussions about AtD, Bush, editing, etc.:
1. The text is always relevant (it speaks to current events)
2. The text speaks cryptically (so you must dig deeper -- e.g., to understand how different parts speak to current events)
3. The text is perfect and harmonious (therefore, contradictions, which include internal incosistencies as well as incosistencies with the readers' expectations, must be resolved by digging deeper for the crypic meaning)
4. The text is of divine orgin
