It's better than I expected.  I like the tone, and even when the
digressions are akward, when read twice or thrice they develop a
cadence, and one can picture a noir film narrator.

It arrived just in time for me to take on holiday to NYC,
Kennebunkport Maine (very private beach), and Boston, all my old
haunts before moving to New Orleans.  That and "Team of Rivals " which
