IVIV book trailer video: High Intensity

This "intensity" reflects an echo of the McLuhan books I've been  
reading this year.  Thanks to Dave Monroe and Heikki for bringing up  
those references, I had forgotten that Pynchon speaks directly of  
McLuhan in terms of the Herero & etc.  It would be fun to go back and  
re-read the early Pynchon, in the light of the recent tour of McLuhan  
I've taken.

McLuhan's prose sometimes sounds a bit non-PC male chauvinist  (cf  
Pynchon's comments about his early self in the Slow Learner intro),  
and it would be very interesting to read a detailed critical response  
to the way McLuhan writes about Africa and Asia, hard to think  
somebody hasn't done that.

I also like the way Pynchon's voice, in character as Doc,  builds to  
"just HIGH!" in the video.
