Entropy again, Misc. backhoeing

Besides the famously TRP-influential Henry Adams on entropy,

WE, by Zamyatin, written very early 1920s, uses entropy metaphorically--very unusual in fiction then or until TRP, I'd say
as does Ms. Simone Weil in Gravity and Grace, which might be very unusual in any kind of mystic-theologian as well, how would I know?

Just sayin' in case Pynchon has read them. As he is always saying in
SL, I hardly knew the meaning of the word, I paraphrase.
