Cool to see the Airplane shit. That stuff was left out of the movie.
The Dead on the other hand, in my experience WORST LIVE BAND EVER!

Sorry folks, Garcia just meandered and blew shit out of his ass with
no respect for the audience. Since his audience just lapped up
everything that dribbled out of him, he had no respect for them. One
might say that he had good reason. Ironically, he was a great acoustic
musician. Listen to the stuff he did with David Grisman.

It always bothered me that Sterling Morrison died of cancer (no fault
of his own) five days after Garcia died from his own excesses. Nobody
noticed. I know a handfull of great electric guitarists influenced by
Sterling Morrison. I know a ton of shitty ones influenced by Jerry
Garcia.

What does a Deadhead say when he runs out of drugs? "Wow! This music
really sucks!"

As for the culture, the recently defeated junior senator from New
Hampshire used to do mushrooms at Dead shows. That didn't stop him
from being a right wing shithead. Go figure.
