Yeah, I know, but on the one hand, it's simply easier to organzie that
way, and, on the other, a chapter--or a paragraph, or a sentence, or a
word, or ...--is as long as we make it 'round these parts.
Ultimately, we've always been pretty flexible/fluid/whatever here when
it comes to time/topics/whatever, so ...

But, if nothing else, under the assumption that chapters serve as some
sort of coherent unit here.  One doesn't always have that advantage
when it comes to Pynchon novels, but it's something w might consider
as well next time we orbit ack to Mason & Dixon ...
