I'm not a fan of the chain stores, we've a couple/three independent
stores here that have gone
under but have fortyunately revived themselevs as coops, or new shops,
but, whil i think B&N is the better (stock, service) of the big two, I
do take advantage of those Borders coupons as much as possible, esp.
for, say, SF or comic book or whatever stuff the indies here don't
necessarily stock.  And, yeah, i'll save a few bucks via amazon as
well, but I also get a lot of used stuff, and university presses in
particular tend to run regular sales.  And then there ...

... who run an annual Memorial Day sale, and are certainly teh ebst
stocked shop I've ever set foot in (yes, I've been to New York and
Berkeley, but not to Cambridge, MA, but, still ...).  And you can't
beat teh service.  When Vintage reisued Dhalgren a  while back, and I
ordred it during the sae, apparently, Samuel Delany had been by the
shop recently, and they kindly snet along an autographed copy, even.
Then again, I picked up four used books @ my P.O. Box today, via
amazon and/or bookfinder (always worth price checking, sometimes
dealers don't always update their prices @ every site), and aLibris
now keeps sending me coupons, so ...
