Enjoying The Dude

Heh. The Dude abides.-
I just received a copy of renowned film critic David Thomson's 'Have You Seen...?', and his entry on Lebowski is pretty good. He says the film is "a key work of late-twentieth-century culture (whereas a lot of more vaunted things aren't)" and (sort of) sees The Dude as a continuation of Elliott Gould's Marlowe from Altman's 'The Long Goodbye'.-
