Enjoying The Dude

well, I loved The Big Lebowski when I fist saw it, have seen it dozens of times since, and love it still.


There *are* criticisms you can lob at the Coens, but in the same was as, say, 'Pulp Fiction' is hugely enjoyable *on its own terms*, Lebowski is a very good film. It's nowhere near as cherishable or important a film as 'Withnail & I' which also has some IV resonances.

Last night I watched 'Body & Soul' with John Garfield. Now *that* is a great film.
