Pinch-hittin? Long term lurker says this phrase is not accurate. This phrase
suggests that the replaced player is not allowed back into that game and
since the pinch-hitter assumes the spot in the batting order of the player
he replaces and usually replaces a starting Pitcher or Player, most often
a starting player when the pinch hitter is thought to have a better chance
of reaching base or helping other runners to score, and since it also
suggests that the pincher, in some way or another, is a lesser talent, at
leasst in terms of the current game dynamic it ain't quite a cope ah stetic
term: Paul is Babe Ruth. Replace him on the mound if you must but let him
swing for the fences. I'm out there in the Underworld waiting to Catch that
shot heard round the world.

Goota go and get Frank some napkins to wipe his shoes with now.
